Wow, how have I been on Twitter for over 2 years now… in that 2 years I’ve gone from twitting about stopping at a rest area in the NJ turnpike to twitting about Cloud Computing.  I guess I am maturing  :P

Anyway, Twitter is cool, it was recently dubbed a “Knowledge Stream”  I think my friend, colleague and mentor Tom Hood twitted it during the MACPA TweetUp.  But now everyone from Rita’s Ice Stands to Pa’s Hardware store want you to follow them?!?!  What the heck?? What value is that going to bring me?? Hmmm, another highway for you to deliver marketing information to me maybe?? Brilliant!!

Seriously folks, make use of it, don’t just open the flood gates to more advertising!  If the people you are following are enlightening, entertaining or educational keep them they are good people to follow.  If they are just clogging your “Knowledge Stream” with marketing stop following them!
